Look out, Indonesia: and, a Bitcoin point-of-sale system, are looking to turn Bali into a haven for Bitcoin users. More specifically, they’re looking to change the popular tourist destination into Bitcoin Island.

This initiative was first started by the Bitcoin Indonesia crew. Tomas Forgac, founder of Coin Of Sale, said that they decided to join in because they believe it has several benefits for both tourists and Balinesian locals alike.

“It’s a tourist destination, so there are obvious upsides for tourists who would not have to exchange that much cash – and hopefully, eventually, none at all, ” he said. “This benefits hosts as well, who can compete for travelers who will be actively looking for places which accept Bitcoin.”

This project is a personal one for Forgac, who adds: “It’s also a mission to help Indonesians cope with chronic inflation by getting currency which cannot be manipulated into circulation.”

How exactly do they plan to give Bali a Bitcoin makeover? “This includes introduction of cash-out ATMs at the airport and in tourist areas, but mainly getting as many merchants as possible to start accepting Bitcoin, ” he explained.

According to Forgac, the combined team already has a few merchants on board, from small cafes to villas – but this is only the beginning. In the coming weeks, they will be reaching out to their contacts on the island, and will then publish a consolidated list of participating merchants then. Meanwhile, you can find more details on their project .

Property. I don't like what the government has done. I was the prudent and cautious guy, sitting back with cash biding my time to scoop up.
Well here's the deal, money has been made and i missed the boat, just like bitcoin.
Does that mean that the country will turn to shit? hell no it ain't gonna happen.
Will there be rough times ahead, well i can't remember a time in my life when we haven't had rough times.

it is a small cabal of Russian hacker scammers.
This isn't the first currency scam they've tried but it is certainly the most successful.
Here are the steps to making a mint off idiots:
1. Come up with an idea where you sell people nothing and they give you money for it. In this case, you sell people a number. Not a physical number, just ownership of a number.
That is literally how fucking stupid this is.
2. Get people to join you. You give yourself a whole bunch of numbers you will sell to idiots but you also give other people some numbers so they become shills for you (this is the bitcoin "mining" angle)

Basically you get a computer that has a powerful RAM and can now perform huge amount of calculations along with other computers....
When the problem is solved you earn a fee paid in bitcoins? The harvest???
So the goal is to harvest as many bit coins as possible....digital payments for problem solved....and that in turn is put in a bitcoin wallet? Digital file to store said bitcoins?
Let me understand this.....you basically print virtual money with your computer and ANYONE can do this as long as they have a powerful computer?
Did I miss anything??? So in that case what makes a bitcoin any more valuable than real money???
It's not like you can print your money from your computer
